Overview

What is Night Supervision?

Nighttime can be the most vulnerable part of the day for seniors and individuals with certain conditions. Wandering, falls, confusion, and medical events do not wait for daylight. Our night supervision service places a trained caregiver in the home during overnight hours to provide watchful, attentive care. They assist with bathroom trips, medication reminders, repositioning, and responding to any needs that arise. For families, it means finally getting a full night of rest knowing someone capable is there.

Frequently asked questions

What does the caregiver do during quiet hours?
They stay awake and alert. Our night supervision caregivers do not sleep on shift. They monitor your loved one, listen for any signs of distress, and are ready to assist immediately. During quiet periods, they may do light household tasks like folding laundry or preparing for the morning.
What hours does night supervision cover?
Typical overnight shifts run from about 10 PM to 7 AM, but we adjust to match your family's schedule. Some clients need coverage starting earlier in the evening or extending into the morning. We are flexible.
Is this the same as 24-hour care?
No. Night supervision covers overnight hours specifically. If your loved one needs care around the clock, we can combine night supervision with daytime services to create a 24-hour care plan.
My parent has dementia and wanders at night. Can you help?
Yes, this is one of the most common reasons families seek night supervision. Our caregivers are experienced with dementia-related behaviors including sundowning, wandering, and nighttime confusion. They redirect gently and keep your loved one safe.
